For over 130 years, Bucherer AG has been one of the most traditional houses in the watch and jewelry industry. With over 2,400 employees, they are represented at more than 34 selected locations in Europe. In addition, Bucherer expanded into the US with the acquisition of luxury watch retailer Tourneau at the beginning of 2018. Strong growth and global sales always present new challenges for logistics. Therefore, Bucherer was looking for a competent IT partner for the development of a customized application for warehouse management.

Scanner app development

devedis developed an application for all barcode scanners used by Bucherer AG to provide the best possible support for logistics. This makes it easy to implement the processes mapped in the ERP. Compared to the previous solution, the system has a direct connection to the ERP and thus does not require any intermediate modules.

This system architecture not only reduces the development and maintenance effort, but also increases performance at the same time. In addition, an intuitive user interface was designed and developed for the application in order to keep the necessary retraining and familiarization effort for the new system as low as possible.

Our contribution

  • Creation of an intuitive and minimalistic design
  • Direct integration of the ERP
  • Less maintenance and more performance through optimized architecture

What Bucherer says about the collaboration

Alessandro Marani

With devedis we have found an interpersonal and technically ideal partner who tackles solutions with us efficiently and reliably. In a complicated environment with new technologies and on hardware not yet available on the market, devedis was able to deliver a prototype in "no time". Thanks to devedis, the go-live date as well as the budget could be met and the solution is in flawless operation until today. A big thank you for this and I am looking forward to further projects with you!
