About the project
Caturix App AG was founded in 2022 by CEO Patrick Wüthrich with the vision of revolutionizing construction site management through intelligent digitalization. The company is developing a cloud-based ERP platform that simplifies construction site management and enables seamless collaboration among all project stakeholders.
Challenge
The construction industry is facing a massive digitization problem. While large construction sites already use technologies like Building Information Modeling, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lack practical digital solutions and the necessary skills. Data is scattered across countless Excel files and outdated on-premise systems, making efficient use impossible. Real-time information for deployment planning, time tracking, and project management is not available, leading to inefficient processes and loss of information.
The core challenge: Construction companies primarily focus on their craft and do not have the time or resources for complex IT transformations. Previous software solutions were either too complex, not tailored to the construction industry, or not technically sustainable for the future.
Action
In close collaboration with Caturix, we developed and launched a comprehensive digital solution within six months:
Web application: A full-fledged ERP system that digitally maps all critical construction processes - from real-time deployment planning to time tracking and project management. Developed using Angular and Spring, operated in the Google Cloud for optimal scalability and reliability.
Mobile apps: Two specialized Flutter apps for iOS and Android. The Cloud App allows construction workers access to daily schedules and project information. The rapport app simplifies the creation and sending of construction reports directly from the construction site.
UX/UI design: Consistent, intuitive design for all three solutions, optimized for the construction industry's requirements.
Infrastructure: Setup and operation of the entire cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance.
Result
With Caturix, construction companies can digitally and efficiently manage their entire workday. The platform enables continuous data usage, exchange, and analysis in real-time. Construction workers have mobile access to relevant information at all times, while management can keep track of all projects.
The cloud-based architecture ensures high availability, rapid scaling, and eliminates the need for local IT infrastructure. Caturix is continuously evolving and gradually moving closer to the vision of autonomous construction site management.
