FREITAG ERP Scanner App
The starting point
To keep logistics running smoothly as the business grew, FREITAG introduced a new scanner solution using both dedicated hardware scanners and a handheld scanner. This gives employees greater flexibility in day-to-day operations.
However, the scanners had to be integrated with the ERP to make the processes seamless and as simple as possible.
Integration with the scanner
The app was developed for different scanner models (Zebra and ProGlove). The app uses the native scanner SDK to read the barcodes and communicate with the ERP.
Interface to the ERP
With the solution, the ERP was directly integrated. This allowed to dispense with a separate backend, significantly reducing maintenance efforts.
Efficiency increase in logistics
This system architecture not only reduces development and maintenance efforts, but also increases performance. In addition, a slim, intuitive user interface was designed and elaborated for the application to keep the necessary retraining and onboarding efforts of the new system as low as possible.
